Our Policies

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

We at The Printsite fully embrace our responsibilities for the Health and Safety of our employees, and anybody else who comes into contact with us in the course of undertaking our business activities. We obviously commit to being fully compliant with all legal requirements and codes of practice, but we also endeavour to go above and beyond the minimum requirements of the law in order to protect as fully as possible those who work with us, and for us. We make certain that all resources are provided to ensure the objectives of this policy are met and encourage all who work with us to identify any potential hazards. Our staff are made fully aware of the standards and procedures required of them to safely undertake their roles. We ensure that adequate First Aid facilities are available. Additionally, we commit to supplying appropriate protective equipment where it is deemed necessary, and we ensure that the relevant instruction is given in its use and maintenance. The Managing Director drafted this plan and has ultimate responsibility for Health and Safety within The Printsite Ltd. Mark Oldershaw is the person nominated to implement the plan at working level. This policy is reviewed by the Managing Director annually and any changes deemed necessary to the policy and associated procedures will be communicated to all parties concerned as appropriate.

  • Take reasonable care of our own safety.
  • Take reasonable care of the safety of others who may be affected by what we do or fail to do.
  • Co-operate so that we can all comply with our legal duties.
  • Ensure we do not interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health and safety.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We understand that all our activities, and those of our supply chain have an impact on the environment. We are committed to minimising the size of our environmental impact by continually looking to improve process and assess supply chain credibility in this area.

Major aims of the policy:

  • Comply with all environmental legal requirements.
  • Review on a regular basis the potential impact of our activities on the environment, including those of our local community.
  • Achieve continual improvement in environmental performance by understanding the relative importance of impacts, monitoring performance and setting appropriate objectives and targets.
  • Employ best practice to prevent pollution, minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources.
  • Identify and manage key risks and have arrangements in place to respond to all foreseeable accidents and emergencies.
  • Involve employees in our environmental programmes and provide training to enable them to discharge their duties satisfactorily. Every employee has an individual responsibility to help meet the requirements of this policy.
  • Use wherever possible FSC or PEFC grade material and ensure chain of custody so that the source of raw material for all suitably graded paper can be verified.
  • Continually drive down waste, conserve resources and monitor, control and reduce our environmental impact.

QUALITY CONTROL POLICY

To maintain growth and ensure prosperity we continue to search for excellence in all aspects of our dealings with our customers. We continually look to invest in our IT infrastructure and train our staff in using it, so that we can offer what we believe to be the best service in the business. We choose our supply chain carefully and consult with them regularly to ensure best practice is observed. Additionally, we look to forming long term meaningful relationships with our suppliers to ensure trust, reliability and consistency of supply.

  • To deliver on time every time (and to advise our client if and whenever this becomes impossible.)
  • To offer clear, honest and unbiased advice to our clients.
  • To work hard in order to meet the expectations of clients and their customers.
  • To communicate at all times in a fuss free, collaborative and straightforward manner.
  • To deliver top quality work.

SECURITY POLICY

We commit to managing all of our business activities in a systematic way. We utilise a state-of-the-art integrated Management Information System to undertake our day to day activities. This MIS system covers all aspects of our business activity.

Major aims of the policy:

  • We commit to keeping secure all data supplied to us in the course of undertaking our work under the restrictions of the Data Protection Act.
  • We commit to keeping a secure back up copy of all internally generated data on a secure internal server mirrored with an offsite cloud based copy, stored in a secure data centre.
  • We promise that any data supplied to us for Direct Mail activity, or other similar projects, is used for the intended purpose and then deleted / destroyed.
  • We undertake to destroy all paper records securely at the appropriate time by utilising the services of a regulated onsite secure shredding service.
  • We commit to employing the appropriate resources and procedures needed to minimise security risks related to the health and safety of our employees, suppliers, customers and members of the general public.
  • The Company’s Directors are committed to complying with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and to acting at all times in an open, honest and trustworthy manner.
